Procedure to become an IAS officer: Hello everyone, first of all thanks for landing on this article. Guys, Today I am going to share some interesting fact on procedure to become an IAS officer. Many of the students have dream to become an IAS, IPS and IFS officer but many couldn't make there dream true due to financial problems. Now in upcoming generation many students really want to be an IAS officer. For this today many of the students have questions after completing there graduation in different field that "How to become an IAS officer or what are procedure to become an IAS officer".IAS (Indian administrative service) officer is one of the most respectable position in government service. The exams are conducted by UPSC (Union public service commission).

Procedure to become an IAS officer

Candidate who want to become an IAS, IPS officer have to clear civil service examination conducted by UPSC. Recruitment to the Indian administrative service is done through very competitive examination called "civil service examination". IAS examination is held every year in different phases. Now we discuss all the points one by one.

Eligibility to become an IAS officer

Education qualification​

To be eligible for becoming an IAS officer, One must have bachelor degree to become an IAS officer. Those in the final year of degree course can also appear in the preliminary Examination.

Age limitations

   1. The age limit of the students is between 21 to 30 years.

   2. The age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidate

Other eligibility conditions to become an IAS

For the IAS and IPS, the candidate must be citizen of india. For the other services, a candidate must be either:

A citizen of India, or

A subject of Nepal, or

A subject of Bhutan

The three stages of becoming an IAS officer are:

   1. Preliminary exam

   2. Mains

   3. Interview

Process to become an IAS officer

To be an IAS officer one has to follow the below given steps:-

   1. So the first and foremost things is the students should clear the pre-exam and Mains

   2. After preliminary and mains examination applicants have to appear in the interview               round. The applicants are examining in the interview to test there personality and                    mental ability. Then the final list of candidates is prepared who have secured very good
      good rank.
